The UNC Family Medicine Center features a Maternal/Child Same Day Clinic to take care of illnesses that require same day care when your regular provider may not be available.
Our Same Day Clinic is staffed each day to take care of illnesses such as fever in your child, coughs, ear infections, cuts, splinters, urine infections in pregnancy, and the whole spectrum of illness that affects mothers and children. It's a place your clinician may send you and your baby for weight checks after going home from the hospital after delivery. The purpose of the Clinic is to care for those illnesses that fall in between the need for an emergency room visit versus a regular appointment with your clinician.
