The Family Medicine Center is a primary care facility of
the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and is
associated with the UNC Health Care System. Our Doctors and
other providers are members of the UNC Department of Family
Medicine.
Family Physicians are trained to care for the children and
adults of all ages, including pregnant women. We especially
emphasize wellness and prevention. We are dedicated to providing
comprehensive health care for the entire family.
The Family Medicine Center is also an educational facility
committed to training the next generation of Family Physicians.
It is an environment where physicians-in-training advance
their skills under faculty supervision while quality care,
personalized service and patient confidentiality are ensured.
Our Mission Statement:
The Family Medicine Center is the clinical practice of the
faculty and residents of the Department of Family Medicine
UNC School of Medicine. The Family Medicine Center supports
the mission of the UNC Department of Family Medicine by helping
to serve the primary care needs of our community and, as a
training site for the residents and medical students, increasing
the supply of primary care physicians for our state. Given
the unique demands of practice and teaching the Center will
provide an environment where cooperation among clinicians
and staff is maximized to assure high quality patient care.
Care of our patients is the first priority of each faculty
and every member of the staff of the Center.
